The NewbornCare app is developed based on the "Essential Newborn Nursing for Small Hospitals" training resource from the WHO Collaborating Center for Training and Research in Newborn Care at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. It is designed around evidence-based practices endorsed by WHO Headquarters, the Saving Newborn Lives initiative, the National Neonatology Forum, the Kangaroo Foundation, and input from expert consensus. The application offers menu-driven information for managing healthy, at-risk, and critically ill newborns. Additionally, it provides links to procedural videos, equipment demonstrations, and easy-to-read wall charts. This tool serves as a supplementary resource to the WHO CC AIIMS SickNewborn app.
